TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK

May 5th-9th

Jollyville PTA is planning some out-of-this-world appreciation events for our magnificent staff! This is what we have planned. This year we are also incorporating student participation to show even more love throughout the week.

PTA ELECTIONS MEETING AND TEACHER APPRECIATION CRAFT NIGHT

TUESDAY, APRIL 22nd

Join Jollyville PTA first with our membership meeting where we will be voting on board members for the 2025-2026 school year. Meeting Agenda HERE.

Then stay as PTA will transform the cafeteria to CRAFT NIGHT! We will be working on Teacher Appreciation Posters to hang on their doors for Teacher Appreciation Week (May 5-9).

We're also looking for a DESIGN POINT PERSON for each class. This means you will coordinate with other parents in your class to create a poster and be at craft night. Check out the signup HERE if you are interested. (If your teacher's slot has been filled, please contact the person who signed up via the email provided so you can help collaborate)

PTA will have the poster boards, thank you sayings cut out, and basic supplies (crayons, markers, glue). You are welcome to bring decorations to make your boards more festive.

Decoration Ideas to bring: stickers, stamps, feathers, pictures, glitter, tissue paper, cut out letters, extra crayons/markers, construction paper, ruler

WaLK TO SCHOOL WITH COACH K!

Join Coach K to walk or bike to school! It's a great way to meet up with friends and other Jaguars to get some fresh air before school starts.

STAAR TESTING DATES

Head's UP! Next week starts STAAR testing for our 3rd-5th grade Jaguars. Please note on testing days campus will be closed to visitors to ensure testing environment and materials are secure.

In lieu of full door decorating from past years, we will be doing door posters so students can also get in on the decorating! Each teacher will get up to 2 poster boards to hang on their doors. PTA will have letters/sayings, markers, crayons, and glue on hand for everyone to help create something special for each teacher. You are welcome to bring extra decorations for the poster boards.

JVE is hosting a STEM Night that will include activities, games, and challenges related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. More details to come!

PATROL STORIES RECAP: SAFETY AND FUN!

As part of JVE PTA's mission to support all students' learning, we invited Patrol Stories out to teach ways to stay safe and character education. This included bike safety, calling 911 in an emergency, anti-bullying, and believing in yourself. Both students and teachers had a blast!

Join the JVE PTA WATCH D.O.G.S.^®(Dads Of Great Students) on October 17th from 6:00 – 7:00 for our 1st annual ‘Dads and Kids’ Pizza Night in the cafeteria.

At 6:30 PM we will have a presentation about our WATCH D.O.G.S.^® Program.

Our goal is to have you spend at least one day this year at the school to be a positive male role model and to provide an extra set of eyes and ears. We're looking for all interested dads, granddads, uncles, step-dads and adult brothers!

In order to participate, you need to do two things:

Fill out the RSVP form saying that you will attend the pizza night so we’ll have an accurate headcount for the food.
Mark your calendars, and we’ll see you October 17th from 6:00 – 7:00 PM.
